Mason is the best, no question. When I left Cambridge, UK, I didn't think I'd find someone as thoroughly honest and dependable as Dave at AutoKare, but now I've found Fast Lane European, I'm a happy man. I brought in my 2007 V50 (just bought used from not-quite-reputable dealer), and Mason immediately got it up in the air and we poked around the car together. I'd just taken it to the local Volvo dealer, and Mason pointed out all the stuff that they'd missed - the broken engine mount and the leaking shocks were the obvious ones. When he fixed all that (at a very decent price), I was just leaving when the electrical system totally failed. Mason and his mechanic pushed the car along the road back to his shop, arranged for a rental, and fixed it by the end of the next day. Totally went above and beyond for someone who was not even a loyal customer - he'd only met me that day. What a hero. I wouldn't dream of taking my car anywhere else now. Outstanding service.

Bought a car here in Oregon that was serviced at Fast Lane according to the oil change tag; called Fast Lane to see what service records they had and Mason was super helpful. Informed me of the service they performed and any notes their techs wrote down about the car. Honestly I've had more trouble getting information from shops I was paying for service, so I really appreciated Mason answering all my questions thoroughly!

I am always skeptical when you see a place get 5 Star reviews but here I am, writing my own 5-Star review. I found Fast Lane European after a 5 hour search for a new shop (yes, 5!). I take meticulous care of my car and I'm picky with who I entrust to work on my car. My 540i's timing chain was making noise and I needed a nearby shop to do the work. I've done Dinan and normally do German Motors but they were too far off, so I decided to give Mason and Fast Lane a try. Based on his stellar reviews, it was worth a chance. I'll make a super-long story short. Mason provided a loaner car which was a HUGE plus for me. I'm very busy with clients and I needed to get around. The timing chain was confirmed and cost nearly $4k. Major work! When I got the car back, I noticed it was "off."The next day my suspicions were confirmed as the car started to tremble. I parked it for the weekend and took it in on Monday. Mason was very accommodating and arraigned another loaner and took his time inspecting everything to make sure the car was 100%. He inserted a time-cert for a stripped thread, replaced a few parts that he noticed needed replacing and went well above and beyond in his servicing my car. He included the repairs as part of the previous and not once did he try to nickel and dime me. I can personally say that other shops have lost out on hundreds/thousands because I just stopped going back due to attempting this. So Mason impressed me not just by the way he conducts his business but also how he represents himself. He is very personable and knowledgable and is full of integrity. Rare words associated with an automotive shop. Everything you read about him here on Yelp is true. So, now I've got my car back and she's running exactly the way I know her to run- smooth, fast and powerful! Thanks Mason. Would I recommend Fast Lane European? Absolutely!!

Mason is a great guy. Brought my E92 335i in for some minor repairs and he ended up working with my warranty company and having two new turbos installed and my oil pan gasket replaced!! This is the kind of shop where you just feel comfortable leaving your baby.

I've been to Fast Lane European a few times and now it's clear to me why they have all five-star reviews: they're simply awesome at what they do. Mason is a fantastic person to deal with and every time I leave here, I feel as though he genuinely cares for his customers. I've had a lot of vehicles over the years and been to a lot of repair shops, but this is easily the best. The rates are very reasonable and they use genuine parts that you would find at the dealership. Often times, they'll make suggestions to do certain repairs/maintenance while other work is being done to save on labor. I really appreciate this. On my wife's Audi, we had to replace both valve cover gaskets and Mason suggested we do the plugs while those were off because the labor would be minimal. Do you think the dealership would suggest that? Nope. Overall, a solid five stars from me and I'm making an appointment for our other car as soon as possible. My wife's car is driving great, of course, and I cannot see any reason to take your European car anywhere else. It is so refreshing to find an honest, talented mechanic not out to scam anyone!

I was Mason's first customer almost 3 years ago. Since then both my V70 and my wife's S60 were serviced here on a regular basis. So happy we found Fast Lane!

My philosophy is usually 'dealership only - unless it's something easy.' But the overwhelmingly positive reviews made me try this place out. The diagnosis took them until 1pm after having the car overnight and by the time they called me they were already working on other cars. The rate they quoted was actually higher than the local dealership so I decided to pick the car up and take my business elsewhere. It was not well spent time and money and I would not go back. There are other European mechanics off auto row with better rates and service.

Saw the great reviews here and the suspension on my 1990 325i was making some noise so had Mason check it out. Appt was easy to set up, brought the car in a bit early and went to a nearby cafe while I waited for the diagnosis. Called me about an hour later and explained the problem. Went back and with my car on the lift, he showed me the problem parts and also asked him to check the brakes as well since I do a lot of mountain driving over the hill. Scheduled the pickup for my car the car the next morning and didn't have a ride so he provided a complimentary rental car. Three and a half hours later, he called and the car was finished. Left work early, returned the rental and drove my own car home. They normally also wash your car but mine had just been washed the other day. I will be back to Fast Lane when I need service again....

My car: Audi A6 4.2liter Work done: brakes replaced, torn boot replaced, exhaust sensors replaced, etc. Result: drives better, no more fuel smell after startup. Advantages: Quick appointment, good pricing compared to other independent shops. Car ready a bit early, washed and ready. Quote was clearly explained as were any newly discovered issues; final bill fully explained. Willing to drill down into as much detail as I needed. Unusually comprehensive knowledge of the many aspects of the business of maintenance/repair and technology of European cars. Rare combination of skills in one man that earned a trust that I rarely find worthy of strong recommendation. Straightforward, open, clear communication. Helped me find the right level of expenditure on an older car given my specific needs... flexible thinking and personal compassion. Recommendation: My first recommendation to anyone of an independent in decades. Encouraging my wife to take her BMW there now that it is out of warranty. (Our history of service: Rector Audi (Burlingame), Stevens Creek Audi, Peter Pan BMW.)

2 check-ins Was out of my extended warranty on my E60. Brought the vehicle over to Mason from a referral. Original plan was to perform a standard oil and filter change. Mason asked if there were any other issues that I noticed on the vehicle so I mentioned them all. To my surprise within an hour or so he called and told me that he found several failed components that I should have replaced. I agreed to proceed with the fix and was able to pick up the vehicle later in the day. Very professional and spends the time to inform the customer on the repair and troubleshooting process. Definitely keeping my business here.
