BMW’s maintenance schedule is built around two main types of services:

BMW Oil Service

The cornerstone of every BMW service visit is the oil and filter change. Clean oil ensures your engine runs smoothly, reduces wear and tear, and maintains fuel efficiency. BMW-certified technicians use only high-quality synthetic oil and genuine BMW filters to guarantee optimal performance.

During this process, the technician will drain the old oil and replace it with fresh, manufacturer-recommended synthetic oil, then replace the oil filter to remove contaminants. After this, the mechanic will inspect for potential leaks in the system. In addition to the oil change, the technician will also check and top off the following fluids:

• Coolant/Antifreeze: Ensures proper engine cooling and prevents overheating.
• Brake Fluid: Maintains braking efficiency and prevents moisture contamination.
• Power Steering Fluid: Guarantees smooth and responsive steering.
• Windshield Washer Fluid: Keeps your windshield clean for maximum visibility.

If any fluid shows signs of contamination or significant depletion, a replacement may be recommended.

BMW Inspection

When it comes to the inspection, the following are the things that will be checked during professional servicing:

• Brake inspection: Technicians will check brake pads and rotors for wear and tear, measure brake fluid levels and assess their condition, and inspect brake lines and hoses for leaks or damage. If the brake pads are too thin or the rotors are warped, replacements will be suggested to maintain safety standards.
• Tire inspection and maintenance: During a service visit, technicians will inspect tire tread depth and overall condition, check tire pressure and adjust it to recommended levels, and rotate tires if necessary to promote even wear.
• Engine and transmission checks: Using advanced diagnostic tools, technicians identify potential issues with engine performance. The technician will also conduct a visual inspection for components such as belts, hoses, and seals, looking for wear or leaks. For higher-mileage vehicles, technicians may recommend a transmission fluid flush or additional engine maintenance.
• Battery test: During a service visit, the battery will be tested for voltage and overall health, inspected for corrosion on terminals and connections, and replaced if nearing the end of its life span.
• Inspection of lights and electronics: Here, technicians will test headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals for functionality. They’ll also inspect interior lights and dashboard indicators.
• Exhaust system checks: Here, the technician will look for cracks, leaks, or weird sounds.
• Cabin and engine air filters: Replacement and inspection will occur in this stage.
• Software updates: Technicians will check your car’s current software and run an update if needed.
